Event Kickoff & Start of Hacking Period:

- Details: The ConCordia CS Hackathon kicks off on August 25th, 2024. Join us for the opening ceremony, where we’ll discuss the challenge, rules, and provide some tips for success. The hacking period officially begins right after the kickoff, and teams can start working on their projects.
Submission Deadline:

- Time: 17:00 PM
- Details: All projects must be submitted via Devpost by October 2nd, 2024. Ensure your project is finalized and submitted before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.

Judges will review all submissions and evaluate them based on the criteria outlined below. -
Winners Announcement: 06/10/2024 @ 18:00 PM
The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony, where prizes will be awarded.
Eligibility

Participants: Open to all students and working professionals. Teams can be composed of individuals or groups of up to 4 members.

Skills: All levels of experience are welcome. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, there's a place for you in this hackathon.

Age: Participants must be 16 years or older.

Location: While the event is hosted by Concordia University, it is open to remote participants as well. In-person attendance is encouraged for local participants.

New Work: All submissions must be original and created during the hackathon period. Pre-existing projects or code will not be accepted.

Open Source: Participants are encouraged to make their projects open source, allowing others to contribute and build upon them in the future.

Documentation: Include clear documentation on how to set up, use, and contribute to your project. This should be included in your GitHub repository.

Prizes will be awarded to the top teams based on the judging criteria. The categories and prize details will be announced closer to the event. Stay tuned for exciting rewards!
Judging Criteria and Winner SelectionSubmissions will be judged based on the following criteria:

Base Idea:
- Originality: How innovative and unique is the concept?
- Relevance: Does the idea address a real need or problem for developers?

Implementation:
- Functionality: How well does the project work? Is it fully functional and free of major bugs?
- User Experience: Is the project easy to use and navigate?

Code Quality:
- Cleanliness: Is the code well-structured, readable, and maintainable?
- Documentation: Is there sufficient documentation to understand and build upon the code?
